Beaux Arts Village began as a dream to create a communal center for artistic endeavors. Traced back to its origins, the Society of Beaux Arts established the village in 1908. It was a "school of every art and craft established to develop art and its appreciation here in the Northwest."

Beaux Arts Village is a small town situated on the waterfront of Lake Washington. Its ideal location places it minutes from the high-rises of Bellevue and less than 10 miles from Seattle. The village is also conveniently located near Interstate 90 and Interstate 405. Beaux Arts is an exceptional small town with a big city location. With its narrow tree-lined roads and population of around 300, a homeowner really is a ‘villager’ and an integral part of the community.

Some of the special activities include summer evening sailboat races held by the Beaux Arts Racing Fleet, swimming lessons, a summer picnic, fishing derby, triathlon, pet parade, a winter dinner, and an arts and crafts summer fair held on the beach.

The beach area, accessed by SE 27th and SE 28th Pl., consists of approximately 1109 feet of Lake Washington beachfront, several docks with year-round moorage, a swimming dock with summer lifeguard, picnic areas, fire pits and a tennis court.
